Holli recieved her Bachelor's Degree from  Mannes College of Music.  Her major in Bassoon was set aside to follow her first love and further develop her musical and vocal talents through supplemental musical theater studies at the Herbert Bergoff Studio with Hal Holden, jazz improvisation with Warne Marsh and Jack Reilly, and vocal studies with Joan Lader, Anthony DeLeva, and Maurice Jampol.

Besides a very busy career as a jazz vocalist (she is pretty well known in Jazz Circles in New York) she is an adjunct professor at Hofstra University  and Mannes College where she is currently teaching performance workshops. For three years she has been conducting clinics at the "Schwabische Kunstsommer "  in Irsee, Germany and has just returned from a tour in Southern France.

Holli has been teaching guitar at the Music House since she graduated Mannes in 1979, and after being recruited by Hofstra to teach voice has recently begun teaching voice at the Music House as well. She is adored by all "her kids."

She is a published  lyricist and member of ASCAP and GEMA.

This very talented lady heads "the Holli Ross Trio",    sings with the famous "Group Five" (known for many familiar comercials) and is one of   "The String of Pearls."  (Click on link to see their site) They have recently completed a double record set on a Brazilian project for Alfa Records in Japan and recently performed at the Kennedy Center in May of 2001  in  the "Women in Jazz " Festival.

Holli's solo credits include several European tours including those with the German Vibraphonist, Wolfgang Lackerschmid (with whom she has recorded and written with ... .......to glowing reviews) performances at top jazz clubs such as New Orlean's Snug Harbor, The Monterey Jazz Festival in California, Wolftrapp, Citicorp Center and the Blue Note.  She has performed with the above mentioned groups in Alice Tully Hall,  with  Peter Nero and The Philadelphia Pops Orchestra, and is a regular participant in the annual Jazz Nativity in New York City . Holli has shared the stage with Jon Hendricks, Lionel Hampton, Jon Faddis and Jackie and Roy. 

A little secret................Holli  is the charming daughter of Kandi and Bernie.  Needless to say,  they are most proud!
