Objective

To teach music in New York area universities, secondary or elementary schools, utilizing my conservatory training and university teaching experience.

Graduate Teaching Associate, Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, OH, 1994-1995
Flute studies with Professor Judith Bentley.                                                                             Awarded honorable recognition, Graduate Concerto Competition.

Developed innovative new music curriculum for undergraduate music classes, incorporating the use of the flute in Jazz into woodwind methods class. Taught privately at Bowling Green State University, with students from area public schools, as well as undergraduate music majors.

As member of select joint student-faculty Philharmonia Players Committee, had shared planning and development responsibilities for designing concert programs, selection of music repertoire, oversaw public bimonthly performance calendar.

Studied musicology with Professor Samuel Adler, interviewed renown
composer Lou Harrison for a thesis discussing his Symphony on G ; thesis highly regarded by Dr. Adler. Received personal recognition from Nfid-American Center for Contemporary Music and Dean of University School of Music for innovative programming.

Oberlin Conservatory of music, Oberlin, OH, 1990-1994
Studied flute with Professor Michel Debost, former professor of flute at the Paris Conservatory. Served as teaching assistant to undergraduate students.

Served as general director of three different chamber music ensembles;
responsibilities included recruiting musicians, booking venues, serving as liaison between students and faculty. Received faculty award for quality of performances.

Worked with Gunther Schuller, Robert Spano and Peter Jaffe while in Oberlin Orchestra. Premiered works by Mauricio Kagel and Anne Deane in solo performances.

Responsible for providing drama/music instruction for children ages 4-12.

Served as marketing intern for summer chamber music festival, involving university musicians and members of the New York Philharmonic.
