Located in Port Washington on the Gold Coast of Long Island,  Port Washington Music House provided caring service and support to three generations of students, teachers and musicians since 1965. Now known only by our website name, TheMusicHouse.Com, we are still unalterably committed to our customer's needs, desires and aspirations as we celebrate our 12th year online.

Meet our Staff:
Verna, President. Our organization's dedicated Internet Sales Manager, knowledgeable Webmaster and Webpartner since its inception 12 years ago, graduated from NYU with a degree in Computer Science and Business Administration and is a lifetime student of guitar.

Kandi Wasser, CEO and Webpartner. Kandi's background is not originally in music (motion pictures and TV engineering NYU)...She is an advanced student of classical guitar and has acquired much musical expertise during her 42 years in the business. Kandi is responsible for many of the page designs on this site and continues to maintain it.  

With great sadness, we remember our  founder, Bernie Wasser, B.S. Juilliard, MA Columbia and only a thesis way from a Doctorate, NYU.  He played bassoon for major symphony orchestras, the entire run of the broadway show, "Man of LaMancha" and for many local organizations. He was five times Past President of Rotary International (Roslyn and Port Washington Chapters) who truly believed in their motto, "Service Above Self."   Click here if you would like to hear the Overture to Man of LaMancha.

One of their four accomplished offsprings has long been associated with the Music House.  Holli Ross, jazz vocalist and adjunct professor at Hofstra University and Montclaire University, is one of the 18 highly trained and practicing professionals who teach in the studios.

Joe Lancia, our Electronics and Lighting expert has traveled with The Who and  The Greatful Dead amoung other great names.

RB Wasser,  who joined us in October of 2010 is our Inventory Control Chief and oversees the shipping department now located in Dade City, Florida.

Since August of 2003,  the Rentals, Instrumental Sales, Repair and Studio facets of the Port Washington Music House have been in the capable  hands of Jonathan Watkins, Wright Music.  Our local clientele is finding the same excellent service still available.

We have recently moved our inventory of Gifts, Music Boxes, Kiddie Korner products and instruments from Port Washington, New York to Dade City, Florida where we will continue to serve our internet customers and our local clientele with as much caring as ever.
